Summary:
|
To support the emergency repair of the Electrical Services at College Park High School, the district required the support from an outside vendor. California Public Contract Code § 20113, allows (a) In an emergency when any repairs, alterations, work, or improvement is necessary to any facility of public schools to permit the continuance of existing school classes, or to avoid danger to life or property, the board may, by unanimous vote, with the approval of the county superintendent of schools, do either of the following: (1) Make a contract in writing or otherwise on behalf of the district for the performance of labor and furnishing of materials or supplies for the purpose without advertising for or inviting bids. The original proposal outlines the emergency services to complete the feeder replacement and the panel replacement due to an emergency electrical failure in the amount of $63,012.00. The final billing invoice includes additional emergency scope. Addition #1 - Subtronic Surveying $1,330.00 Addition #2 - T&M Labor $3,429.00 Addition #3 - Generator Rental $11,554.00
