Summary:
|
The District continues to work to keep our legal costs to the lowest possible level, while also ensuring we have experts in different specific legal areas related directly to school districts (e.g. litigation, special education, etc.). Attached are contracts renewals for legal services to be provided by Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (Special Education and Administrative matters), and Orbach Huff Suarez & Henderson (litigation and trial). Each of the aforementioned firms serves the District at a competitive billable hourly rate and have provided specialized legal services to the District for over ten years. The billable hourly rates as to the District remain below billable hourly rates in the Bay Area legal community.
