Summary: On June 24, 2019, the Board awarded Bid 1847 to Meehleis Modular Buildings, Inc., in the amount of $5,550,000.00 to facilitate the Food Service Warehouse. On June 22, 2020, the Board awarded Intermediate Change Order #1 to resolve contract changes to date.

Change Order #2 (Final) is being brought forward to resolve additional contract changes. During the course of construction, there were several conditions that required additional work by the contractor. District Staff added scope for the integration of the Food Service Warehouse portion of the future Emergency Power project scheduled for the Central Services Complex. By adding scope to this project, the District realized a overall cost savings by completing scope while the warehouse was under construction. Other contract changes included structural changes based on purchased equipment, Title 24 electrical requirements that we added under local ordnance review, scope gap connection points, data additions for office equipment as well as a few credits for work to be completed at a cost savings.

The final charge order will result in a contract value of $5,832,803.11, an increase of $211,166.84 which is an increase of 5.1% of the original contract.
Funding: Program 7615 - Measure C
Fiscal Impact $211,166.84, The amount is within budget; No additional funds needed.
Recommendation: Move to approve the Final Change Order #2 for Bid #1847/C995 with Meehleis Modular Buildings, Inc., for the Food Service Warehouse.
