Summary:
|
i-Ready has been implemented in the district for the last 6 years; first as a pilot with selected sites, then district wide K-8 for the last five years and at the high school level the past three years. i-Ready consists of adaptive diagnostics assessments (universal screeners) and formative/summative assessments. In the past, we have purchased and implemented the instructional component of i-Ready. This year we are only moving forward with the assessment component which greatly reduces the fiscal impact. The assessment components are used to monitor and support student progress towards grade level state standards mastery and college and career readiness. The data generated from this software allows teachers to provide differentiated instruction/support to all students and progress monitor our under-achieving/under-served students (English Learners, Foster Youth, Economically Disadvantaged, Special Education) with identified learning gaps. Validity studies have been conducted and have shown that students' performance on i-Ready is highly correlated to students' performance on state standards test.This contract has been reduced by $500,000 by not including the instructional modules.
