Summary:
|
Review and Potential Approval to accept the Mt. Diablo Education Foundation (MDEDF) grant to support nine MDUSD schools to continue implementing STEM, Robotics, and Project Lead the Way (PLTW: Elementary Launch Program, Middle Schools Gateway Program and the High School: Engineering & Biomedical programs.) in the district. The MDEDF grant will provide $10,000 to support Bel Air Elementary, Delta View Elementary, Meadow Homes Elementary, El Dorado Middle, Foothill Middle, College Park High, Mt. Diablo High, Northgate High, and College Park High Schools to continue implementing PLTW in the school day and in the CARES After School Programs. Grant funds will support purchasing of materials, equipment, and paying teachers to instruct the PLTW classes/workshops.
