Summary: Mt. Diablo Unified School District requested bids for paving of the Maintenance and Operations Complex. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: all tools, materials, labor and equipment necessary to complete the bio-retention parking islands and provide new paving and striping. Add Alternatives for parking lot restoration, remove and replace concrete at loading area, full depth curbs at bio-retention basins, filter fabric between bio-swale dirt and rock, concrete building apron and door landings, and seal coat and stripe of existing parking lot were included in the bid. The invitation to bid indicates that the low bidder will be determined by the base bid amount only. The project has four (4) bid packages that were received on September 1, 2020 and the Bid from Silicon Valley Paving, Inc. is the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder.
