Summary
:
Staff is asking that the Independent Service Contract for Sequoia Science Education (approved by the Board on August 12, 2019) be amended to reflect having a Garden Educator sub-contracted with the non-profit agency. The cost of the new Garden Educator contract is $12,240. The Garden Educator will provide NGSS instruction and curriculum development for students at Rio Vista Elementary. There is no overall fiscal impact to the contract amendment.

The contract amendment of $12,240 is a budgeted expense in the 2019/2020 school year being paid out of the SAGE Garden Project Grant. No additional funds are being requested.
