This annual funding grant supports instruction of students by providing supplementary funding for the purchase of supplementary instructional materials and supplies, expanded support(s) for the scheduling and management of classes, field trip expenses, additional staff development, and childcare for the children of adults attending classes.

Fiscal Impact

There is no impact on the General Fund. This grant brings approximately $250,000 to $500,000 in revenue (based on benchmark achievement and availability of federal funds to be announced at a later date) to Mt. Diablo Adult Education’s ESL, Adult Basic Education, Adult Secondary Education, GED preparation and Adults with Disabilities programs to carry out grant specifications.
