Summary:
|
On June 4, 2012 the Board of Education approved facility enhancement projects for Concord High School. As a result of savings on previous projects and un-used contingencies, the site identified improvement within the existing gymnasium as a high priority facility enhancement project.
One improvement identified new bleacher system with expanded capacity. To facilitate this improvement, District staff is recommending approval of a professional services contract for engineering and architectural services required to secure DSA approval for replacement bleacher system at Concord High School.
Staff negotiated, and is now recommending, that a 'not to exceed' contract in the amount of $16,300.00 be awarded to PHd Architects for comprehensive engineering, design and contract administration services necessary for approval and satisfactory completion of the proposed project.
The scope of services includes work required to remove existing and install new telescoping bleacher systems with enhanced capacity (i.e. electrical and fire alarm). As well as work to meet compliance with Access Code, Fire Protection and T-24 regulations.
