Edited: Amendment is necessary to cover the cost of previously completed work only. This contract amendment will NOT result in any additional work at the Ayers ES site.
On May 23, 2016 the Board of Education awarded a design services contract to Nacht and Lewis Architects in the amount of $51,125.00 to facilitate interim housing units at Ayers Elementary School.
Original action identified a contract option, in the amount of $18,436.00, to investigate a secondary location on the Ayers campus and technical assistance to determine feasibility. During negotiation and leading up to the final determination, District directed consultant to completed required topographic survey, site investigation and schematic drawings necessary to assist District in making a final determination.
Due to staff changes, it was recently discovered option was not formalized in a contractual manner and staff is recommending issuance of a amendment of contract to fund optional work completed.
This action will result in a revised contract value of $69,561.00
