Summary:
|
Mt. Diablo Unified School District Request for Proposal (RFP) #1891 Milk and Dairy Products for the 2021/2022 School Year was Noticed on May 12, 2021. The RFP scope is to provide and deliver milk to all school sites for the 2021/2022 school year (July 6, 2021 to June 30, 2022). Dairy was hit hard the last year and a half with the rising cost of corn/feed, fuel, and equipment. These costs are now hitting our food sources including Dairy, which is about 51% higher than it was in 2018/19. This is the reasoning for the substantial increase in this RFP compared to prior years. District staff received two (2) responses to the RFP on June 1, 2021. The RFPs were reviewed by staff and both found to be responsive, but Daylight Foods, Inc. is the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.
