Summary
:
In 2001 the Child Internet Protection Act, known as CIPA, was passed by the Federal Government to ensure that children have a device that protects them from inappropriate content while using electronic devices on the Mt. Diablo Unified School Networks. This is especially important with the number of students and devices during distance and hybrid learning with COVID-19. To ensure this mandate is adhered to, the Federal Government ties E-Rate discounts to compliance with CIPA. The contract with AMS.NET provides our compliance with CIPA.
