Summary:
|
Two (2) proposals were submitted in response to E-Rate RFP #1858 Network Equipment. Responses were evaluated by District Personnel and DecoTech Systems, Inc., was determined to be the most responsive/ responsible bidder for Network Equipment for Sections I & II of RFP. No responses to Section III were given by either bidder, therefore the District has been withdrawn Section III from this RFP award recommendation. This RFP is to support 21st Century Learning, we are upgrading network equipment at eligible district sites.
Using funding from the federal E-Rate program, MDUSD would like to award our network equipment purchase to DecoTech Systems, Inc. The cost for the equipment is $954,165.87 to a potential E-rate discount/reimbursement of 60 percent. Reimbursements are not guaranteed and are often a year in arrears so the total is listed under fiscal impact despite a good chance of reimbursement.
