Summary:
|
MDUSD is replacing the current messaging program with ParentSquare, a component of the Aeries student information system. The entry rate is $3/student and will include mass notifications, classroom communications, and integrates directly with Aeries. It is not an external company whereby data can be mismanaged when shared between the parties. In addition, Aeries will provide full access to an additional suite of services that we will pilot, free of charge, to address many of the challenges with communication resulting from the pandemic, including two-way communication in over 100 languages, messaging through their app, parent/teacher conference scheduling, volunteer sign ups, permission slips and forms, calendar and event sync, RSVP capabilities, school directories, and more. The intent of moving to full functionality is that the district office, school sites, and teachers can transition to one unique platform for all messaging. This approach will assist parents with streamlined communication and school sites with resource management, as they will no longer need to pay for other communication systems.
