Governor's Budget Message.pdf
Summary: School Services of California hosted workshops on January 15 and 16 in Sacramento, attended by a small group of Cabinet members. At that workshop, the "Governor's Proposals for the 2020-2021 State Budget and K12 Education" presented attendees with an overview of Governor Newsom's plans for cost of living adjustments, funding for preschool through community colleges, and Proposition 98 impacts. The information shared tonight will be the highlights of the proposed budget that will now go through statewide input phases by education groups, legislators, and the general public to inform the Governor before the May Revisions take place.

The MDUSD Business Department will use the information from the Governor's proposed budget to develop budget assumptions for the 2020-2021 school year and the beginning of the Multi Year Projections.
