Summary: On June 24, 2019, the Board awarded Bid 1845 to Southern Bleacher Company, Inc., in the amount of $470,400.00 to facilitate the permanent grandstand and ramp addition at Mt. Diablo High School.

During the course of construction, changes made during the final DSA approved caused several conditions that required additional work by the contractor. Work consisted of relocation of the ADA wheel chair ramp and well relocation and protection of existing utilities they encountered due to DSA changes. District staff work with the contractor and a negotiated total was agreed upon.

The final charge order will result in a contract value of $507,400.00,
an increase of $37,000.00 which is an increase of 7.87% of the
original contract.
Funding: Measure C
Fiscal Impact $37,000.00; The amount is within budget; No additional funds needed.
Recommendation: Move to approve the Final Change Order for Bid #1845/C-994, with
Southern Bleacher Company, Inc., for the Permanent Grandstand and
Ramp Addition at Mt. Diablo High School.
