Summary:
The Mt. Diablo Unified School District along with various organizations nationwide have declared November as Homeless Youth Awareness Month. According to the U.S. Department of Education, homeless youth are defined as youth who lack a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence.

In 2018 California Schools reported 246,296 students as homeless or living in unstable conditions. Mt.
