Summary: On May 26, 2021, the board approved one time summer pay rates for particular staff to support instructional opportunities for extended school year and summer programs scheduled through July 3, 2021.

Subsequent to that time, additional opportunities were developed and provided to students. Skills Camps were offered to students in grades K-12 in the areas of reading, writing and mathematics in eight hour session over multiple days. Teachers, special education assistants, occupational therapists and behaviorists provided instruction for the camps.

Staff seeks to extend the revision of the 2021 Summer School School Compensation Rate through August 1, 2021 for the teachers, SEA1 and SEA2 staff members who provided support to our students with disabilities in skills camps offered during the month of July 2021.
Funding: Special Education Extended School Year Funds were budgeted for this purpose.
Fiscal Impact $2615.66
Recommendation: Move to extend the 2021 Summer School One Time Compensation Rate to August 1, 2021.
