Summary:
|
The Board, staff, and community embarked on a Facility Master Plan in 2018 and LPA was hired to lead the visioning process and design the master plan. When the visioning was completed, the cost of the visioning was estimated at over $1.15B with only $150M in funding approved through Measure J. After turnover in leadership and the pandemic, the master plan process was not completed. It was restarted in the Fall, with initial feedback from FCMAT on recommended systems and processes. A facilities assessment and need prioritization began to ensure the decisions made were based on critical current priorities, such as technology infrastructure and age of facilities.
This presentation is intended to inform the Board, staff, and community of the prioritization process that included a deep dive into data collection, timelines, a feedback loop with the Measure J Citizen's Bond Oversight Committee, and a clear methodology that focuses on equity, need, and criticality.
