12.2 Governor's Proposed Budget for 2023-24
|
LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) Goal:
|
Goal 1: All students will receive a high quality education in a safe and welcoming environment with equitable and high expectations, access to technology, and instruction in the California State Standards that prepare them for college and career. Goal 2: High quality, culturally proficient, and responsive staff will provide engaging instruction respectful of all students' backgrounds to ensure they are college and career ready. Goal 3: Parents, family, and community will be informed, engaged and empowered as partners with Mt. Diablo Unified to support student learning and achievement. Goal 4: Focus scholars, specifically Black/African American students, Foster Youth, students experiencing homelessness, students with disabilities and emerging bilingual students, will experience culturally responsive practices and instruction, high expectations, equal access to educational opportunities, within an educational environment that builds trust and inclusive partnerships between the students, parents/guardians and staff.

Summary:
|
Governor Gavin Newsom released his Proposed State Budget on January 11, 2023, and School Services of California hosted its review on January 18, 2023. His Proposed Budget component of the MDUSD budget development process but will not be solidified until the Governor's Revised Budget in May. The information presented in the proposal will also be applied to our Second Interim Report in March. A summary of the proposal and the estimated fiscal impacts in MDUSD will be presented.
