Summary: Ygnacio Valley High School's engineering pathway includes Introduction to Engineering Design and Computer Intergrated Manufacturing. To provide students with the industry skills aligned to the CTE standards, YVHS is purchasing 2 desktop CNC machines and one larger CNC Router. The purchase of this equipment will allow students to create prototypes and finished products two important steps of the design process. Specifically, students in IED will use the machines as rapid prototyping tolls to create proto types from CAD models. Students in CIM will learn manufacturing processes and tolls and use the CNC router to fabricate finished products. Tormach is the exclusive producer and sole source of specified products requested in this order.
