Summary:

Mt. Diablo Unified School District Secondary and Adult Education Division seek Governing Board approval to submit applications for supplemental funding of district-wide Career Technical Education through the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (previously called Carl Perkins) grant for the 2021-2022 school-year.
The MDUSD K-12 Secondary allocation is anticipated to be $231,475. The Mt. Diablo Adult Education (MDAE) allocation is anticipated to be $21,285, and will be determined by the Consortium Fiscal Agent, Martinez Adult Education, under the guidelines and rules of the grant.
Mt. Diablo Adult Education is required to participate in the Contra Costa County Carl D. Perkins Grant K-12 Adult Education Consortium due to the fact that the anticipated allocation will be less than $50,000. In addition, MDAE requests Governing Board approval to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Assurances for this purpose.

Move to Approve the MDUSD K-12 Secondary and MDAE application for and to accept Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act Grant and to endorse the continuing participation of MDAE in the Contra Costa County Carl D. Perkins Grant K-12 Adult Education Consortium and MOU with Martinez Adult Education as the Consortium Fiscal Agent.
