Mt. Diablo Unified School District Request for Proposal (RFP) #1936 for 2023 Commodity Meats for Mt. Diablo Unified School District was Noticed on November 6, 2023. The RFP scope is to provide commodity processed meats for all sites for 2024 calendar year (January 1-December 31), with 2 one-year options to extend through December 31, 2026.
District staff received six responses to the RFP on November 30, 2023. The Responses were reviewed by staff and two were found to be the lowest responsive/responsible bids. Staff is recommending a pool of vendors to meet their commodity meat needs, and is bringing forth Goodman Food Products dba Don Lee Farms, and Tyson Prepared Foods, Inc. for the Board’s review and possible approval.
