Summary: Background: The attached change order summary list and backup documents describe (1) scope changes to CUPCCAA Bid #1851 New Accessible Parking and Bleacher Access at Mt. Diablo High School. The (1) scope changes involve (1) separate Change Order Requests (COR’s). The MDUSD Construction Manager and District Administration have reviewed each request. The work has been authorized for all aforementioned COR’s.

Current Consideration: Ratification of the (1) COR’s authorization of the addition of the approved amounts to the original contract. The contractor may bill for the additional work once approved by the board as the scope has been verified as complete. The added scope of work was presented as a Owner Directive to resolve drainage issues and protection of the synthetic track that would be caused by an unidentified drain basin that was discovered during construction that was not included in the district as builts. The discovery of this storm basin that was uncovered during the project scope proved the storm drain system was not directing water collected in the manner our documents showed.

Fiscal Impact: The total cost of the (1) COR’s is an increase of $12,100.00. This is a 9.97% increase to the original contract. This project is funded by the Measure C General Obligation Bond and no additional funding is necessary.
Funding: Measure C
Fiscal Impact Increase of $12,100.00 to bring the total to $133,500.00.
