Summary:
|
The District has recently acquired Naloxone to be available on our campuses to be used in the event of an opioid overdose. This administrative regulation clarifies that it may be administered by a qualified, trained volunteer and the process by which those volunteers will be selected, it also clarifies that while we encourage students to seek a staff member for assistance, those who carry naloxone on campus will not face disciplinary actions. This policy was brought for information on November 8, 2023 and is now brought back for approval.
