In December 2020, members of the Valley View Naming Committee presented a proposal that the gymnasium at Valley View Middle School be named after Mr. Cory Salmon, Physical Education Teacher and Coach. Mr. Cory Salmon has worked as a teacher in MDUSD since 1983 and at Valley View Middle School since 1984. Over the past 36 years, Mr. Cory Salmon has been a dedicated teacher, mentor, and coach. He has shaped thousands of lives, leaving a lasting positive impression upon students, players, teachers, and administrators. Mr. Cory Salmon truly deserves to be honored for his significant contributions to Valley View Middle School and the community. The committee and proponents request the Honorary Designation of the Valley View Middle School Gymnasium be renamed the Cory Salmon Gymnasium. Administrative Regulation 7310.
