Summary:
|
The District will require the services of architectural firms for use in support of construction, modernization and various facility projects. On March 12, 2019 seventeen (17) proposals were submitted. The district-panel considered relevant factors, price, in-house services, and experience. May 13, 2019, Item 17.10, the Board approved a pool of (3) three architect firms, ATi, LPA, and PBK. Staff would like to expand this pool to (4) four firms, to help align with the current needs of the District. District staff are bringing forth the proposal of Nacht and Lewis, whom at the time, recuse themselves from the interviews, at the time, as they were unable to take on the additional workload that we were looking for. As our projects and timelines have changed with the current administration, staff recently approached Nacht & Lewis to reconsider, which they have agreed to. Therefore, it is recommended that three (3) firms: ATi, LPA and PBK be expanded to include a forth (4th) firm, Nacht and Lewis serve as part of the District’s architectural pool to provide architectural services on a project by project basis. Assignments to each firm for specific projects will be presented to the Board as service needs are established.
