This item is coming back to the board as an adjustment due to the success of the prior board action, and as the board had previously approved the item up to $50,000, staff is now recommending the board reapprove this item for it to now not exceed $106,000 (which includes statutory benefit costs).

"In order to respond urgently to the current COVID pandemic, and to ensure the District is fully prepared for students each day and doing everything we can to attract additional substitutes for our students, staff is recommending any substitute working in a "teacher" position as a substitute and completing 20 or more full days (consecutive or not consecutive) between January 13, 2022 and February 28, 2022 receive an additional $1000 of compensation"
