Subject: 17.2 Review and Potential Approval of the 2020/2021 Third Interim Cash Flow and Updated Multi-Year Projection

Summary: The District’s Third Interim requirements cover the financial and budgetary status of the district for the period ending April 30, 2021.

Education Code Section 42130 requires school districts to prepare interim financial reports each year. The First Interim Report covers the period ending October 31; the Second Interim Report covers the period ending January 31; and Third Interim Report covers the period ending April 30, 2021. The Contra Costa County Office of Education required MDUSD to prepare two documents for this year's Third Interim Report: current cash flow and a multi-year projection as of April 30, 2021.

These documents will be sent to the Contra Costa County Office of Education and will be shared with FCMAT, the Fiscal Crisis & Management Assessment Team for their review as part of the Fiscal Health Risk Analysis. No "certification" is associated with this Third Interim, based on the direction of the Contra Costa County Office of Education.
