Summary: The Mt. Diablo Unified Expanded Learning Program is requesting approval of the purchase of four (4) electric nine (9) passenger vans. The vans will support expanded learning opportunities including, but not limited to: College and Career Exploration, Student Resource Fairs / Opportunities, Extracurricular activities, off campus / community based opportunities for all expanded learning program students to participate in as well as access to activities throughout the district. The purchase of these vehicles aligns directly with several components of the Board adopted Expanded Learning Opportunity Plan which includes / encompasses the 12 Quality Standards for Expanded Learning.
Funding: Expanded Learning Program (ELOP) Program Code 2726
Fiscal Impact Price per Van: $100,509.86 Total Cost: $372,039.44 (The total cost includes a $30,000 HVIP discount)
Recommendation: Move to approve the purchase of four electric passenger vans for the Expanded Learning Opportunity Program.
