Summary:
The District recommends restructuring the vacant Internal Auditor position to a Coordinator, Fiscal Compliance & Reporting to better align with current operational needs and classification structure. Core internal audit functions have been reassigned to the newly created Director, Budget, Accounting & Fiscal Compliance, who now oversees audits, internal controls, attendance reporting, and charter school fiscal oversight. The coordinator will support compliance-related functions, including CDE attendance reporting (P-1, P-2, Annual), reconciliation of ASB, Revolving, and Clearing accounts, fixed asset oversight, and charter financial reviews. This adjustment redistributes responsibilities appropriately while maintaining essential compliance functions within a more operational-level role.
