Summary:

The Mt. Diablo Unified School District reopened Holbrook Elementary as Holbrook Language Academy in 2017 with the intention of supporting TK-8th grade students. Holbrook is one of three magnet elementary schools in North Concord supporting community interests in dual language (Holbrook) , the arts (Wren Avenue School of the Arts) and in science, technology, engineering and math (Sun Terrace STEM Magnet School.) In 2019-20, the Mt. Diablo School Board approved the piloting of a 6th grade class at Holbrook and in 2019-20 the Board approved a pilot of a 7th grade class. During the Board Study Session on November 16, 2020, staff updated the Board and community on Holbrook Language Academy and is recommending the approval of the TK-8th grade elementary program. |
