Summary:
|
The District is required to periodically appraise its buildings to determine replacement value for insurance purposes. The District has not conducted an appraisal for seven years. This proposal will appraise buildings valued at over $1 million (to be paid by insurer), as well as buildings valued under $1 million, to be paid in part by the District and in part by the insurer, to determine current replacement values. |

The expected costs to the District of appraising 300 buildings (those valued $250,000 and $1 million) is $36,000. |
