Summary:
|
In order to provide for the additional extended preparation time still currently recognized in the MDEA Collective Bargaining Agreement provided for 4th and 5th grade teachers, whose length of time was provided for based originally due to an equity concern in relation to the now expired 20:1 class size reduction guidance for K-2 teachers, the District is requesting to approve a new job description to meet the extended prep time for 4th and 5th grade teachers. This position is needed to ensure the district has a position for teachers to support each sites 4th and 5th grade prep time and to provide for any additional flexible support when possible or as schedules may allow. |
