Summary:

WHEREAS, the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing authorizes the issuance of a Variable Term Waiver for CBEST for 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permits to those individuals who have a Bachelor’s Degree but not have taken and passed CBEST.
THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Governing Board of Mt. Diablo Unified School District declares that the district has been unable to recruit enough day-to-day substitute teachers who have had an opportunity to take and pass the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST). The district anticipates employing 50 day-to-day substitutes on variable term CBEST waivers for the 2020-2021 school year. |
