Summary:
|
In 2020-2021, Ygnacio Valley High School and Concord High School are implementing a new PLTW Engineering Course, Engineering Essentials, in their engineering pathways. Because this is a new course, YVHS & CHS will need updated equipment to support the course. Engineering Essentials will serve as the introductory course in the pathway. YVHS will purchase the equipment using funds from the CCAP STEM grant, a grant supporting a partnership between Diablo Valley College & MDUSD to develop a dual enrollment program for students interested in STEM. The program will be embedded into the Engineering pathway at YVHS. CHS will purchase the equipment using funds from the Contra Costa County Office of Education's 18-19 K12 SWPConsortium funds. MDUSD joined this application to support its Engineering pathways. MDUSD was allocated $45,000. A portion of these funds will be used to support this purchase. |
